Welcome back to another week of exploration into meditation practice, self-preservation practice and full life living!

Keep in mind that the advice you receive here is NOT from a Professional firsthand but my guided research, insight and investment in helping us become better people to ourselves and others. If you'd like to know who I tap into to get that higher Thought train moving and the confidence to even put myself out here as someone of even minor authority, give me a shout in the direction of email or respond to this piece in the comments. We can write a full blog post about it! You know we love to write here lmao!!

Before we get into this week's topic let's recap our Week One experience

By this time, you should have listened to the Guided Meditation for Series One, week 1 at least 5-7 times this past week (yes, once all the days of the week) so that the concepts are very familiar to you as you move through week one into week two. It does not count if you listened to it 5-7x in one day and then never thought about it again throughout the week- you're just trying to get it over with and that's counterproductive aka Not Helpful! If the latter is you know this - Life has something for the hard-heads, We here press forward!

Moving on...

Our Week One Anchors helped up visualize our potential as unspent and awaiting our determined efforts. This is a great place to be!

We practiced great posture, and we paid attention to our breathwork. Now we are ready to incorporate ourselves further into the process!

This article is noted within a Series so that it is easy to find supporting articles. Linked at the bottom of this Blog is the blog to Week One of this Series but for now...

Let's get into the topic for the week, week 2 of Series One:

IDENTITY

Here's a link to the Guided Meditation for the week, Series One, week 2

Weekly video is released on Saturdays!!

(Dec 5, 2025, for Series One, Week Two- Identity)

Let's begin with a few definitions

Identity (n.)- 1.individuality 2. The fact of being who or what a person or thing is.

Foci (n.)- 1. Focus, singular

And some concepts that will be discussed:

Non-Judgmental Awareness- In the context of meditation, Non-Judgmental awareness is the understanding you have with yourself that you will look at what has been identified as wrong/out of place/not helpful and decide that it is an action you did and not who you are.

This is the difference between observing the self vs being attached to passing thoughts. If you didn't already know this every thought in your head is not your own! Detach from those thoughts that leave you drained, tight or feeling unworthy of a full living experience!

Benefits of this deepening sense of self-awareness include improved emotional resilience (because of feeling so bound to tight restrictions on your emotions), clarity (which does not come without friction) and Self-acceptance (Some of us 🤕 can definitely benefit of the use of more of this)

Meditation>mindfulness> identifiable behaviors> clearer identity

Stronger, more grounded identities are able to create impenetrable shields against judgement, attacks and personal weaknesses. ~ just in case you needed a more concrete image of what this Program can provide~

Consistency: Important and Necessary

The guideline for our Guided meditation videos: "view each week's video once per day for a week" was created to help build and enforce a habit and behaviors that set each listener up for success. Interacting with the practice of meditation daily may take some effort (to remember or to make time) but the strategy is to use the energy you're already using for neutral or negative outcomes (sitting on the couch mindlessly watching tv or playing repetitive and memorized games) to improve the minds ability to motivate you on its own. Yes, I do believe it is possible for your mind to motivate you on its own!

✔️The Attention Span 🏃🏽‍➡️🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️

How many miles have you ran today? 0? 1?

How many miles has your brain ran today and what are you doing with the things it has seen, learned or come in contact with?

Even better question! - What is that content doing with your mind???

Living rent free is one of my all-time favorite descriptions of what the things we love do in our thoughts- It doesn't leave when we forget about it, it stays and eats our food!

Our attention span is one of the few things we have the ability to control about ourselves- What we give out attention to, what we choose to believe, shapes us in ways that most cannot even fathom!

I believe a lot of the time this is the gateway where interruptions become personal and affect our tonic motivations and actions. This is also where "bounce back" is judged most harshly and we get to acknowledge (or hide from ourselves) the truth of how consistent and focused we truly are.

Tips to recognize ⚠️Personal Obstacles to consistency and 💪🏽strategies to overcome them

get into this list...

⚠️Trouble staying on schedule

⚠️Difficulty identifying what is the next important step

⚠️Low motivation, even for tasks you find interesting

⚠️Not preparing your environment for oncoming activities

⚠️Being too negative on oneself when it's time to bounce back

Now, defeat these Obstacles with these tools:

💪🏽Non-Judgmental Awareness-- Use it straight out the gate! Don't allow your mind to turn the mistake into a blame game. It's done, now do better!

💪🏽The Bounce Back-- Approach the Bounce Back with renewed self-confidence

💪🏽Preparation-- Prepare your mind and environment to reduce distractions! Be realistic with yourself. If you know you only have 30 minutes a day to yourself don't promise 1 hour! Our Meditations are crafted to be useful resets in under 20 minutes and our blog articles in under 10!

💪🏽Seasoned Advice-- Tap IN!! Use guided meditations, books, eBooks, recordings or mentors to give you sound advice that you can trust and build on.

The Bounce Back aka Handling Interruptions and Setbacks

So, we've had a setback, now what?

Above we identified some of the most common interruptions and setbacks and the tools you can use to get you back on track but let's add one more ingredient to the recipe that will guarantee you a few lip smacks: Compassion

Having the compassion to address yourself in a way that allows you to still tap into your momentum while addressing the concerns that have plagued you when it comes to consistency is vitally important! Self-confidence building is a must-have and anytime we berate ourselves past the point we need to we chip away at this reserve. Non-judgmental Awareness helps with this by reminding us to see the moment for what it is- an opportunity for growth and practice- not an excuse to give ourselves a complex.

We do not recommend missing days of a new routine, especially in the first 30 days of its start because it interrupts your flow and causes possible insurmountable inability to get back on track, but life happens and a day may be missed. It's important however to never miss two days in a row- as soon as you remember, jump into action and complete the task. Always approach Interruptions in practice without self-criticism and renewed self-confidence!

Compassion is like the glue that holds all of this together.
